    Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake tin of your choice.

    In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

    In another large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and creamy.

    Step 4

    Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Then add the orange juice and grated orange zest. Mix until smooth.

    Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the liquid mixture, mixing well after each addition.

    Step 6

    Pour the batter into the prepared tin and smooth the surface.

    Step 7

    Bake in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    Step 8

    While the cake is cooling, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar and orange juice in a bowl until smooth.

    Conclusion

    Once the cake has cooled, spread the icing over the top.
