Homemade bread is the smell of the oven saying 'everything is fine'. Simple, economical, and so much better than store-bought. It's the perfect base for morning toast, lunchtime sandwiches, and even for dipping into a good soup.

  1. Activate the yeast

    Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it foam for 10 minutes.

  2. Form the dough

    Add flour, salt, and oil. Knead until you get a smooth dough.

  3. First rise

    Cover and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

    The dough should double in size.

  4. Baking

    Shape, place in a loaf pan, and bake at 180°C for 35 minutes.
