A delicious Quebec tourtière, perfect for family meals.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground meat (pork, veal or beef)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 grated potatoes
  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt, pepper, cinnamon, cloves

  1. Brown the onion and meat in a frying pan.
  2. Add potatoes, broth and spices. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Place the mixture in a shortcrust pastry.
  4. Cover with another pastry, sealing the edges.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.
