  1. Preparation of spinach

    If using fresh spinach, wash and roughly chop. Sauté in a pan with olive oil and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes until wilted. Season well to remove excess water. If using frozen spinach, thaw and squeeze to remove excess water.

  2. Combination of ingredients

    In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, grated cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add cooked spinach and mix until smooth.

  3. Baking of spinach gratin

    Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Pour the preparation into a gratin dish and bake for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.

  4. Service

    Remove the gratin from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve with toasted bread, pickles, vegetables or croutons.
