Maple grandfathers

An easy-to-prepare classic

Your kitchen can be transformed into a sugar shack, but without the snow and horses!

    Step 1

Bring the maple syrup and water to the boil in a large saucepan.

    Step 2

Sift flour, baking powder and salt, and add to the amoli butter.

    Step 3

Pour in the milk and mix well

    Step 4

Drop the resulting dough by spoonfuls into the boiling syrup. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, gently turning the grandfathers as they cook.

    Step 5

    Serve quickly.

Tip: you can reheat the leftovers the next day by placing the grandfathers in the microwave or in a barely warm oven for a few seconds. They can be sprinkled with chopped walnuts and served with fresh cream or ice cream.
